Monster
Plan;
I first had to start with making the base of the head, and the pieces for its features. Once they were complete, I slipped and scored them onto the head before carving it out with a loop tool. I then attached the head to the body after hollowing out the inside, slipping and scoring the head onto the space designated for the neck. The pieces for the body were then attached, and was refined before firing. Glazing took a multitude of colors, having to mix some to get a desired shade.
Reflection;
When starting this project, I had worries about being able to create an accurate depiction of this image while still having it be able to balance itself. I had to get comfortable with making changes, even if it made the piece differ from the reference. Overall, this piece was a way to help me deal with my desire to constantly aim for perfection when creating, and be okay with changing the way things should be.

Plan; Instead of starting with the head for this project, I started with the body. I carved out the back legs from two scored lumps of clay, and scored a spot where the head would go. I then attached and molded the head, making sure to put holes where the ears would be inserted.
